Exciting opportunity to support charity helping people in Lancashire find jobs
Inspira is on the look-out for two new trustees from the Lancashire area to play their part in helping the organisation’s work across the region.
We are committed to promoting diversity in all aspects of our activity and our keen for potential trustees from all backgrounds to apply for the roles.
George Beveridge, chair of Inspira’s trustees said:
“Like any organisation, Inspira thrives from a diversity of thinking and a wide range of experiences and it’s vital for us to reflect this in our two new trustee positions,” said George Beveridge, chair of Inspira’s trustees.
“We are keen for those in Lancashire who have a passion for helping young people and adults from all sectors of society to develop their skills and improve their employability prospects, to apply to be trustees.
“Half of our work is across communities in Lancashire and we would be delighted to see that reflected in two new trustees from the county.
“In terms of skills and experience we are very open to the skills a candidate might have. There is the option for someone with legal experience. But more important to us is a passion and knowledge for the sector we work in, working with young people and adults to help them either find employment or retrain to gain better employment.
“Someone with the energy, enthusiasm and drive to help the organisation deliver improved outcomes for young people and adults in our communities is going to be more beneficial than sector specific skills.
“There is no age barrier either. We would very much welcome younger people to apply - and to bring their diversity of thinking. As long as someone has the confidence to share their expertise around a board table we would very much welcome, and benefit from, that different perspective.”
Mark Bowman, Chief Executive said:
“Inspira trustees are appointed for an initial three-year period, which is renewable. The position, which is voluntary, gives trustees an opportunity to develop their skills, and further their professional development”.
“If someone from Lancashire wants to make a positive difference in society, identifies with what we do, and has a passion for it, then we would be delighted to hear from them.”
